KNOW-PH Public and Community Engagement group
The Public and Community Engagement group (PACE) shapes the work of KNOW-PH from the start of projects to the end.
We are a diverse group of citizens and third sector representatives.
We champion diversity and inclusion and build positive EDI practices into knowledge mobilisation (KMb).
How we work
We meet quarterly and as and when needed to deliberate on chosen topics. We are located mostly in the North of England and meet online. We are developing capacity in KMb in community organisations as part of the project.
At our meetings we try to ensure that KNOW-PH projects and the programme overall is informed by a range of people who have different backgrounds and local experiences.
We contribute our insights, perspectives, and expertise to KNOW-PH projects.

''Being a social worker and having worked in the social care sector for years, I have had numerous encounters with families and individuals who through no faults of theirs are suffering as a result of negligence and lack of inappropriate amenities to further and enhance their well-being. As such, I feel I can use this space as a platform to advocate on their behalf and make relevant contributions towards the KNOW-PH Public and Community Engagement Group. The KNOW-PH Public and Community Engagement Group will serve as the voice of the community to enable appropriate approaches and strategies put in place.''
